*** DETAILS ABOUT The Kentucky Anthem
Several states have adopted both a state song as well as a different state anthem.
Kentucky’s controversial official state song, My Old Kentucky Home, by Stephen Foster (Indiana native) has become pejorative (the meaning of the words during his era has flip-flopped; and, now those lyrics mean something negative to many citizens).
The Kentucky Anthem by J. Sevenstar focuses on the positive geographic and spiritual features of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The anthem incorporates a major theme from the Great Seal of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: United We Stand, Divided We Fall.
This anthem has a regal aura when performed in classical symphonic style; and, is adaptable to all other styles of music, as demonstrated by the Bluegrass version produced by Jemimah.
Several styles have already been recorded: marching band, symphonic, and bluegrass.
